Welcome to Birds of a Feather a crafty group of people that want to learn and socialize. We meet once a month alternating between the “Pen Pal Project” and “Craft Tutorials” the first Wednesday of every month at 7:00pm. The location is determined by the host.
The Pen Pal Project
The host will choose a pen pal and write them a letter. The other attendees will bring any art supplies they would like to work with. Each person will make something for the host’s pen pal. The host will then mail the projects. Another person would host the next Pen Pal Project and the same activities would apply.
Tutorials
our second objective is continual learning and what better way then from each other. Every other month a member of the group will act as host. The host will either decide to share with the group a craft, activity, experience, principle, or select someone within the community with a specific skill, who could teach us. The host will also select the location. During the lesson one member (not the host) of the group will be assigned to take video or photos. Afterward the member must create a comprehensive tutorial and post it to our blog.
